JPMorgan Chase commits $750 billion to U.S. housing through 2035

JPMorgan Chase has announced a commitment to invest $750 billion in housing through 2035. This initiative, part of CEO Jamie Dimon’s American Dream Initiative, represents a 40% increase in housing investment compared to the previous decade.

The capital is intended to increase the national housing supply and support homeownership by building or preserving 1 million affordable housing units and providing financing assistance to 500,000 homebuyers. To support this expansion, the bank plans to increase mortgage lending by 40% and hire 850 new home lending advisors.

Separately, JPMorgan Chase & Co. shares saw a recent increase in trading. The bank has benefited from broad strength in financial stocks and declining Treasury yields, which have improved the outlook for trading activity and net interest income. Additionally, the bank reported signs of stabilization in card credit trends, suggesting consumer-loan losses may have peaked.
