JPMorgan commits $750 billion to U.S. housing supply through 2035

JPMorgan Chase announced a plan to deploy more than $750 billion in capital by 2035 to expand the United States housing supply. The initiative, called the “American Dream Initiative,” targets the construction or preservation of 1 million affordable housing units and aims to help 500,000 homebuyers, including 200,000 first‑time buyers.

The bank will increase its mortgage‑lending activity by over 40%, hire 850 new Home Lending Advisors, roll out new digital tools and consider loan products for modular and manufactured homes. JPMorgan will also chair the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s newly formed Housing Advisory Council to shape housing policy at local, state and federal levels. “Homeownership has always been at the heart of the American Dream,” said Sean Grzebin, CEO of Chase Home Lending.

The effort is positioned as a public‑private partnership to boost homeownership, support economic growth and provide stable, wealth‑building opportunities for American families.
