JPWAY Vietnam Deputy Director prosecuted for counterfeit lubricant production

Doan Ngoc Canh, the Deputy General Director in charge of production at JPWAY Vietnam Joint Stock Company, has been prosecuted for the production and trade of counterfeit goods.

According to the Economic Police Department of the Cao Bang Provincial Police, initial investigations revealed that Canh intentionally reduced additive materials during the production of 82 buckets of JP Mitsu HD50 lubricant. This reduction caused the product to fail to meet the quality standards advertised on its packaging. Specifically, the Total Base Number (TBN) of the product was measured at only 3.2 mgKOH/g, which is approximately 53.33% of the 6 mgKOH/g level stated on the label.

Authorities are continuing to expand the investigation to clarify further details related to the case.
