JR East announces E233 series train driving experience in Haijima

JR East Tachikawa Operations Headquarters has announced a recruitment drive for its second series of train driving experiences at Haijima Station. Scheduled for September and October 2026, the event allows participants to operate the E233 series (one-man operation type) currently used on the Ome Line between Ome and Okutama.

Participants can experience duties as both a driver, including operation and door control, and a conductor, including making announcements. The event will be held on select dates in September and October 2026. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis via JRE MALL for 40,000 yen per person.
