JR East announces new Suica Penguin merchandise

JR East Group is releasing nine new types of merchandise featuring the Suica Penguin, the mascot for the Suica IC card. The collection commemorates the ‘Penguin Years’ initiative, which expresses gratitude to the character's supporters.

The lineup includes T-shirts featuring key visuals, sticker sets, and A4 clear files. Other items include themed drawstring bags, such as a ‘sunburned’ version with a surfboard and a ‘Momotaro’ design. Additionally, a collaboration with Italian chocolate brand Caffarel will offer an oval tin containing assorted chocolates, featuring artwork of the penguin drawing on an omelet with ketchup.

The products are scheduled to go on sale via the GRANSTA MALL website around 12:00 PM on October 30, 2026.
