JR West launches mobile game collaborations for regional railway lines
JR West is partnering with the location-based mobile game series ‘Eki Memo!’ to promote regional tourism through digital stamp rallies.
In Fukui Prefecture, the JR Echizen Hokubu Line is collaborating with the game to host a mystery-solving stamp rally starting October 26. Participants visiting specific stations and local spots can collect stamps to enter drawings for limited-edition character merchandise, such as acrylic stands. Participants at Fukui Station can also receive digital wallpapers.
Additionally, a campaign for the Geibi Line, spanning Okayama and Hiroshima prefectures, is underway. This collaboration features the new game character ‘Bingo Hibari,’ who has been appointed as a tourism ambassador for Saijo Town. The campaign includes digital missions, poster displays, and the sale of original goods like clear files and keychains at designated locations.
