Jūrmala’s Laima Rendezvous Festival Marks 10th Anniversary

The 2026 International Ballet Stars Jūrmala festival took place at the Dzintaru Concert Hall, presenting works by European, U.S. and Israeli companies and featuring star ballerina Elīza Badenes among other acclaimed artists. The program blended classic pieces such as “Esmeralda” and “Romeo and Juliet” with contemporary choreography from creators like John Kranek and Andon Foniadakis.

The same venue hosted the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala music festival, which celebrated its 10th season. Organisers announced ticket sales for the 2027 edition will open on 1 August 2026 with a 10 % early‑bird discount. The event, supported by the Jūrmala municipality, sponsors such as BMW Latvia and LIDO, and led by Laima Vaikule, expects to attract thousands of domestic and international spectators.

Both festivals underline Jūrmala’s role as a leading Baltic cultural destination, drawing artists and audiences from across Europe and beyond.
