JSW Motors and Maruti Suzuki announce upcoming vehicle launches in India

JSW Motors is preparing to enter the Indian passenger vehicle market with a diversified electrification strategy. The company plans to introduce three new SUV models featuring plug-in hybrid, petrol-hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. These models, which include the Combat PHEV, iCar V23 EV, and Jaecoo J5 Hybrid, are reportedly being developed in collaboration with China’s Chery Group using international platforms. Manufacturing is slated for the company’s Bidkin facility in Maharashtra, which has an annual capacity of approximately 350,000 vehicles.

Separately, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch five new models in the Indian market. The upcoming lineup includes a facelifted Fronx, a three-row electric MPV expected to launch in 2027, and a compact electric vehicle. Testing has also been observed for a model named Victoris, alongside anticipated updates to the Invicto.
