J&T Express partners with Thai agencies to support agriculture and security
J&T Express has engaged in two major initiatives in Thailand to support the agricultural sector and enhance logistics security. The company participated in the 59th anniversary of the Department of Agricultural Extension, where it aimed to boost the distribution of local agricultural products. To support farmers, the company offered a 10% discount on shipping costs and other privileges to those registered with the Department.
Separately, J&T Express met with the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) to discuss preventing the use of parcel delivery services for illegal drug trafficking. Led by Dr. Sutheemon Akkerman, the company shared case studies and discussed implementing stricter measures, including identity verification of senders, monitoring high-risk areas, and regular intelligence sharing with government agencies every three months to improve safety standards in the logistics industry.
