J.T. Snow seeks to replace Mike Krukow in Giants broadcast booth

Former San Francisco Giants first baseman J.T. Snow has expressed formal interest in replacing Mike Krukow as the color analyst for the team’s broadcasts. Snow stated he has reached out to Giants front office personnel regarding the role, noting he has a “pretty decent resume” in broadcasting.

Snow’s experience includes radio work for the Giants following his retirement, seven years as a color analyst for the Pac-12 Network, and previous stints working alongside longtime broadcaster Duane Kuiper. He suggested he could serve as a “bridge guy” for Kuiper, who is expected to return for the 2027 season despite undergoing treatment for throat cancer.

Krukow, a beloved figure in Giants broadcasting, is set to retire following the 2026 season. Other potential candidates for the position include former Giants Shawn Estes, Javier Lopez, and Hunter Pence, who have previously filled in during recent seasons.
