JTI appoints Paul Hennessy to lead North and West Africa operations

Tobacco group JTI has appointed Paul Hennessy as General Manager for North and West Africa. Based in Morocco, Hennessy will oversee twelve regional markets, focusing on commercial development, performance supervision, and strategic implementation.

Hennessy is a long-time veteran of the company, having joined JTI in the United Kingdom in 2002. His career includes various financial leadership roles in Poland, the BeNeLux region, and the United Kingdom, as well as serving as Vice President for Eastern Europe and Global Travel Retail. Most recently, he served as General Manager of JTI Canada.

This leadership change coincides with JTI’s expanding industrial presence in Morocco. The company has established Morocco as a managerial hub for its African activities and recently invested $100 million to construct an eco-responsible factory at Tétouan Park.
