Edeka recalls organic frozen blueberries due to Salmonella risk

Jütro Tiefkühlkost GmbH & Co. KG has issued a nationwide recall for EDEKA Bio Wildheidelbeeren (frozen organic wild blueberries) due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall affects 300-gram packages sold through Edeka and Marktkauf retailers across Germany.

The specific batches involved have the following best-before dates (MHD): - 13.06.2028 (Batch L140626V3) - 14.06.2028 (Batches L150626V3 / L150626N3) - 23.06.2028 (Batches L240626 14 / L240626D4 / L240626 E4) - 24.06.2028 (Batches L250626 E4 / L250626 14)

Consuming contaminated products may lead to gastrointestinal infections, including symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and fever. Vulnerable groups, including infants, young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems, are at higher risk for severe illness.

Consumers are urged not to eat the affected products and can return them to their place of purchase for a full refund, even without a receipt.
