Juan Carlos Ferrero announces return to tennis coaching in 2027

Former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero has announced his intention to return to the professional tennis coaching circuit in 2027. Ferrero, who has been away from coaching following the end of his long-term partnership with Carlos Alcaraz in late 2025, stated in an interview with Movistar+ that he is currently enjoying time with his family while preparing for his return.

While Ferrero declined to name a specific player he will coach, his comments have sparked significant speculation. Potential candidates include world number one Jannik Sinner, whom Ferrero previously expressed interest in training, and rising Spanish talent Rafael Jodar. The timing of his return remains a subject of interest within the tennis community as players look toward future coaching arrangements.
