King Emeritus Juan Carlos I has arrived in Galicia for his fifth visit of the year. Traveling via a private flight from Cascais, Portugal, he landed at Peinador airport in Vigo to prepare for sailing activities in the Pontevedra estuary this weekend.

He is expected to stay at a beachfront residence in Sanxenxo. During this visit, he will participate in the sixth series of the 6 Metre League, commanding the vessel ‘El Bribón’ to defend his leadership against competitors such as Miguel Lago’s ‘Alibaba II’ and Mauricio Sánchez-Bella’s ‘Titia’.
