Juan Carlos I to visit Sanxenxo for international regatta

Juan Carlos I is expected to arrive in Sanxenxo this Wednesday to participate in the 11th Rey Juan Carlos I-El Corte Inglés Máster International Regatta. According to the Galician Sailing Federation, the emeritus king is registered as the skipper of the boat 'Bribón'.

He will not participate in the entire three-day event, which runs from Friday to Sunday. This abbreviated appearance is due to his scheduled trip to France on Sunday to receive the Saint-Simon Prize for his memoirs, 'Reconciliación'.

This trip marks the fourth time the former monarch has visited Galicia this year, following previous visits in April, May, and June. The regatta includes various categories, such as the 6-meter League, where 'Bribón' is currently set to compete alongside other vessels.
