Juan Carlos Pernigotti retires after 40-year career in education

Juan Carlos “Perchi” Pernigotti has recently retired following a forty-year career dedicated to education and social work in Argentina. His professional journey began in 1986 at the Escuela Primaria N° 9 in La Pepita, where he served as a teacher in a rural setting.

Pernigotti later expanded his expertise by studying Social Work in La Plata, which influenced his approach to community psychology and pedagogical social assistance. Throughout his career, he held roles as a teacher, social worker, and director of CEC 801. He also highlighted his significant involvement in the development of school radio programs and his participation in the “Aprendizaje en la Acción” program between 2003 and 2007, which focused on strengthening community management through collaboration between educators and local neighborhoods.
