Juan Cuadrado addresses Juventus contract dispute and Inter move

Former Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado has addressed the controversy surrounding his 2023 free transfer to rival club Inter Milan. In interviews with DSports and La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Colombian international denied allegations of betrayal, stating that he intended to stay in Turin but left because the club failed to honor a promised contract extension.

Cuadrado noted that while manager Massimiliano Allegri wanted to retain him, executive changes left him without communication. He expressed frustration at learning his status via social media rather than direct contact from management. Despite the move to Inter, Cuadrado emphasized his deep affection for Juventus, citing his five Scudetti titles and more than 300 appearances as milestones he cherishes.

Currently a free agent, Cuadrado confirmed he has received offers from MLS, the Mexican League, and Europe. He is considering his options with his family's best interests in mind.
