Juan del Val discusses his humble origins and relationship with Nuria Roca

Spanish writer and screenwriter Juan del Val has shared personal reflections regarding his upbringing and his long-term relationship with presenter Nuria Roca.

Del Val described growing up in a humble family during the 1970s. He noted that while his childhood was happy, his family lacked resources for vacations, often spending summers in small villages. He mentioned experiencing academic failure during his adolescence, which led him to begin working in construction at age 17. He credited his determination and sense of humor as key tools developed during his youth.

Regarding his personal life, Del Val recounted how his relationship with Nuria Roca began nearly 30 years ago. He explained that he initially sought to interview her while working for the magazine Man, describing an immediate and intense chemistry between them that has sustained their partnership for decades.
