Juan Gotelli accused of defrauding siblings in Buenos Aires
Juan Gotelli, the son of prominent textile businessman Guillermo Gotelli, is accused of defrauding two siblings through a fraudulent investment scheme in Buenos Aires.
Gotelli, who presented himself as an advisor for Consultatio Investments, promised fixed returns in US dollars. The transactions took place at historic Buenos Aires cafes, including La Biela and La Rambla in the Recoleta neighborhood. Between January and September 2022, one sibling reportedly handed over a total of 40,000 USD in cash and transfers. The sibling's sister also reportedly provided 15,000 USD with the expectation of foreign currency returns.
