Juan López named among Spain's top 50 bakers

Juan López, master baker at El Atelier de Diego Caride in the Galician town of Mos, received the Estrella DIR Informática de la Panadería, a distinction that places him among the 50 best bakers in Spain for 2026. The award follows the Atlantic phase of the national competition held on 6 June at the Pazo de Mos, where 35 artisan bakers from north‑west Spain were judged anonymously on crust, crumb, aroma and flavor.

Mos mayor Nidia Arévalo publicly congratulated López, highlighting the honor for the municipality and the role of the competition in showcasing local artisanal excellence. López thanked his mentor Diego Caride, his colleagues and the town council, and noted that the official award ceremony will take place on 13‑14 [month].
