International Tennis Hall of Fame announces 2027 nominees

The International Tennis Hall of Fame has announced the official nominees for the Class of 2027. In the player category, the ballot features former world number one Ashleigh Barty, Svetlana Kuznetsova, and Juan Martín del Potro. Del Potro, the 2009 US Open champion, is seeking his second consecutive nomination after missing out on the 2026 class.

Barty, who retired in 2022, is a three-time Grand Slam singles winner. Kuznetsova holds two Grand Slam singles titles and two doubles titles. In the wheelchair tennis division, Shingo Kunieda has been nominated.

To be inducted, candidates must secure at least 75% of the combined vote from the Official Voting Group—consisting of journalists, historians, and Hall of Famers—and public fan voting. Fans can cast their votes through the official Hall of Fame portal until October 25, with the top three fan favorites receiving bonus percentage points to assist their final tally.
