Juan Minujín discusses role in Angelina Jolie film ‘Sin Sangre’
Argentine actor Juan Minujín has shared details regarding his casting in the film ‘Sin Sangre’, directed by Angelina Jolie. The production, based on a novel by Italian author Alessandro Baricco, was filmed in Italy between Rome and the Apulia region.
Minujín revealed that he initially hesitated to accept the role due to a demanding schedule and the pressure of preparing a three-page English monologue within a three-day deadline. Despite not being bilingual, he proceeded with the audition following recommendations from his team. He ultimately secured a role as one of the story's antagonists, a character for which he altered his appearance.
Following a presentation in New York, Minujín praised Jolie’s directorial style, describing her as a sensitive and humble collaborator who communicates effectively with her cast. The film, which also stars Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024.
