Juan Pablo Allan receives three-month driving ban
A court in Dolores has issued a three-month driving ban against Juan Pablo Allan, the executive director of the National Arms Registry (RENAR) and a La Libertad Avanza councilman in La Plata.
The ruling follows a weekend incident in Pinamar where Allan failed a breathalyzer test during a road safety operation conducted by the Buenos Aires Ministry of Transport. The test revealed 0.27 grams of alcohol per liter of blood, violating the province’s ‘zero alcohol’ law. Allan, who was traveling with his wife, acknowledged the infraction, stating he had consumed a single glass of wine.
While the court imposed the driving restriction, Allan will not face internal disciplinary proceedings within the Ministry of Security, which oversees RENAR. Officials close to the minister described the incident as a simple error.
