Juan Pablo Duarte Sports Games organizers announce inclusive 2027 edition

Organizers of the Juan Pablo Duarte Sports Games in the United States have announced that the 2027 edition will focus on being inclusive of all community members. The announcement followed the closing ceremony of the 2026 edition, which was held in The Bronx before an audience of over one thousand Dominicans.

Roberto Rojas, president of the Organizing Committee, described the recent games as a success and expressed gratitude to the community, press, and technical teams. He stated that the 2027 games will be organized in collaboration with the Unión Deportiva to ensure broader participation, inviting those who previously felt excluded to join.

José “El Grillo” Vargas, representing the Dominican Consulate in New York, praised the committee for overcoming significant challenges to host the event and noted the importance of preserving Dominican identity through the games.
