Juan Pablo Montoya proposes F1 grid karting challenge
Former Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya has suggested that the current F1 grid participate in a karting challenge similar to the recent ‘Max vs 100’ event held by Max Verstappen. Montoya proposed that the race be conducted without cameras to allow drivers to compete freely without the pressure of filming.
Verstappen recently completed a challenge at Silverstone where he started from 101st position against a field of 100 amateur competitors, including journalists and content creators. While the event was scheduled for 30 laps over 75 minutes, Verstappen reached the front in just 14 laps and 35 minutes. Montoya praised the concept, noting that such events test how drivers handle varied competition without simply driving others off the track.
