Juan Roig invests 25 million euros to expand Marina de Empresas

Juan Roig, president of Mercadona, has expanded his entrepreneurship ecosystem, Marina de Empresas, in the port of Valencia with a 25 million euro investment. The funding was provided entirely from Roig's personal assets.

The expansion includes the inauguration of the Alinghi building, a 7,600-square-meter space designed by ERRE Arquitectura. The new facility is expected to accommodate approximately 1,000 people and is set to begin operations on September 7.

With this addition, the total area of the complex—which integrates the Edem business school, the Lanzadera accelerator, and the Angels investment vehicle—reaches approximately 27,000 square meters. Roig's total contribution to the project now exceeds 70 million euros.
