Colombian cyclist Juan Sebastián Molano of UAE Team Emirates won the opening stage of the 2026 CRO Race in Croatia. The 167-kilometer stage, which ran from Split to Seget Donji, featured a predominantly flat profile.

Molano secured the victory in a sprint finish with a time of 3:58:06, narrowly defeating Paul Magnier of Soudal Quick-Step and Tim Torn Teutenberg of Lidl-Trek. This win marks Molano’s 29th professional victory and earns him the first leader's jersey of the race.

Other notable finishers included Enrico Zanoncello in fifth, Antonio Tiberi in seventh, and Gabriele Bessega in tenth. The second stage of the race is scheduled to cover 112 kilometers between Biograd na Moru and Novalja.
