Juan Soto Ivars denies romantic relationship with Isabel Díaz Ayuso
Journalist and writer Juan Soto Ivars has publicly denied rumors of a romantic relationship with Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the President of the Community of Madrid. In statements provided to Lecturas magazine, Soto Ivars described the speculation as a “celestial lie” and clarified that he and Ayuso do not even share a friendship.
Soto Ivars explained that his only interaction with the regional leader was a single professional encounter prior to the summer, which also included Ayuso’s press chief. He suggested the rumors may have been fueled by the coincidence of his own public separation and news that Ayuso had moved out of her previous residence.
The rumors gained traction following comments made by journalist Juanma Fernández, who suggested in a video that Ayuso had been dating a television collaborator. Soto Ivars noted that while he initially found the speculation amusing, the intensity of the rumors in public and on social media necessitated a formal denial.
