Juan Soto receives third career LatinoMVP Award
Dominican superstar Juan Soto has been awarded his third career National League LatinoMVP Award. The ceremony took place at Citi Field ahead of a game between the New York Mets and the San Francisco Giants.
In addition to Soto’s individual honors, the New York Mets organization announced the promotion of two recent draft picks, right-handers Alex Petrovic and Luke McNeillie, to Low-A St. Lucie.
Regarding future roster needs, Mets general manager David Stearns is reportedly scouting NPB star Teruaki Sato. The 27-year-old Japanese infielder, who was the 2025 NPB Central League MVP, is being considered as a potential power source for the Mets' lineup to help address the void left by Pete Alonso.
