Juan Tamariz, legendary Spanish magician, dies at 83

Renowned Spanish magician Juan Tamariz has passed away in Madrid at the age of 83. A master of card magic and a beloved television personality, his death has prompted tributes from international figures, including David Copperfield.

Following his passing, a public dispute has emerged between his widow, Consuelo Lorgia, and his four children from a previous marriage. Lorgia has alleged that the children isolated her during Tamariz’s final months. She claims they moved him to a care facility in January without informing her and restricted her access, forcing her to present wedding photographs to staff to prove her identity.

Tamariz had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease, which had recently limited his public appearances. While his family has expressed condolences and noted he was accompanied by his children at the end, Lorgia maintains that she was kept in the dark regarding his location and medical status.
