Juan Valdez wins multiple awards at Latam Global Coffee Awards

Juan Valdez 1959, the flagship store of the Colombian coffee brand, has received multiple honors at the Latam Global Coffee Awards. The competition featured more than 1,000 participating coffees.

The brand secured a Gold Medal in the Flat White category using the Papayo variety produced by José Leonardo Chinchilla in Palermo, Huila. It also earned a Silver Medal in the Filtered category with a Bourbon Rosado lot from producer Giovany Liscano in Inzá, Cauca. Additionally, the brand was a finalist in the Espresso category with the Bourbon Sidra variety from producer Esmid Leyton in Timbío, Cauca.

These award-winning coffees are part of the specialty micro-lots offered at the flagship store. The production process involves selection by Craft Coffee, profile definition by Juan Valdez, and in-store roasting by master roaster Jhojan Galindo using Almacafé expertise.
