Mirtha Legrand suspends program due to health issues

Argentine television host Mirtha Legrand has suspended the recording of her program, ‘La Noche de Mirtha’, due to a sudden bout of flu and congestion. To prioritize her recovery and avoid exposure, Legrand is currently resting at home under medical advice.

Her granddaughter, Juana Viale, has stepped in to host the program in her absence. This has resulted in a double workload for Viale, who is also continuing to host her own Sunday cycle, ‘Almorzando con Juana’.

Family members and production staff have sought to reassure the public regarding Legrand’s condition. Her daughter, Marcela Tinayre, confirmed that Legrand is stable and receiving care at home. Producer Nacho Viale also communicated that the symptoms are mild, consisting of congestion and a cough, and do not represent a major health complication.
