Juanfran Pérez Llorca coordinates response to Castellón forest fires

The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, attended a meeting of the Centre for Integrated Operational Coordination (CECOPI) at the Advanced Command Post to oversee the fight against forest fires in the province of Castellón. The fires are affecting the Sierra Engarcerán, Culla and Tirig areas.

The session, also attended by the regional Minister of Emergencies and Interior Juan Carlos Valderrama, Castellón provincial council president Marta Barrachina and the Government delegate in the Valencian Community Pilar Bernabé, focused on analysing the actions of the emergency devices deployed on the ground and monitoring the evolution of the blaze. Pérez Llorca thanked the fire crews, security forces, local municipalities and residents for their coordinated effort and stressed the importance of joint response to protect the population and the territory.
