Juanfran Pérez Llorca projects PPCV strength ahead of 2027 elections

Juanfran Pérez Llorca, president of the Popular Party in the Valencian Community (PPCV), is projecting confidence ahead of the May 2027 municipal and regional elections. Despite internal delays in candidate appointments and political competition from Vox, the PPCV anticipates maintaining control of the Valencian Generalitat and potentially increasing its influence in local municipalities.

Internal party projections suggest the PPCV could maintain between 36 and 38 seats in the Corts, while the PSPV is estimated to hold between 23 and 26. Pérez Llorca has also addressed recent teacher protests, accusing leaders from Compromís and the PSOE, specifically Joan Baldoví and Diana Morant, of hypocrisy. He claims these leaders are now leading movements for educational improvements that they allegedly neglected during their eight years in power.

Pérez Llorca defended his administration’s record, stating that the current ‘government of change’ has made more progress in education and teacher salaries in three years than the previous ‘Botànic’ administration did in eight. He emphasized that his administration remains open to dialogue with the teaching profession to address legitimate demands.
