Juanfran Pérez Llorca rolls out affordable‑housing plan and new land law while backing Valencia truck sector

Valencian President Juanfran Pérez Llorca announced several initiatives aimed at expanding affordable housing and supporting the regional transport sector. During a visit to Benissa, he confirmed the town will receive about 40 new homes for young residents under the Plan Vive, and pledged additional places in elder‑care residences and day‑care centres. He highlighted fiscal measures such as reduced taxes and a free IVF guarantee that can cover up to 20 % of a mortgage down‑payment.

At a forum in Valencia, Pérez Llorca unveiled a draft Land Law intended to streamline urban‑planning procedures, cut bureaucratic delays and accelerate the approval of municipal development plans. He said the reform will help meet the region’s housing shortage, noting that the Plan Vive already oversees roughly 6,000 housing projects and has enabled around 5,000 young people to secure homes through public guarantees.

The president also took part in the annual San Cristóbal truck parade, using the event to acknowledge the transport sector’s role in the economy. He warned that rising fuel prices are eroding profitability and announced tax cuts for the coming year, more vehicle‑inspection staff, and a new rest‑area for up to 400 trucks near Riba‑roja del Túria.
