Juanma Moreno seeks PP‑Vox pact to secure Andalusian government investiture
Acting President of Andalusia Juanma Moreno confirmed that the regional People’s Party (PP) will meet with Vox this week to negotiate a formal investiture agreement, aiming to avoid a repeat election. The Andalusian Parliament is set to convene on 11 June, and the PP's 47 seats fall short of a majority, requiring either support or abstention from Vox’s 14 deputies.
Moreno stressed that any pact must be compatible with the “general interest” of Andalusia and preserve the region’s fiscal and administrative management. Vox spokesperson Pepa Millán replied that policy priorities come first and that the distribution of government responsibilities will be discussed later. The negotiations are seen as crucial for Moreno to secure his mandate and for the PP to maintain its strategic autonomy within the national party framework.
