Juanma Moreno's Andalusian government formation hinges on PP‑Vox talks

The People's Party (PP) and Vox are accelerating negotiations ahead of the Constituent Congress of the Andalusian Parliament, scheduled for Thursday. Juanma Moreno, the incumbent president, needs two additional seats to reach an absolute majority in the 55‑member chamber. Vox holds 15 seats after the 17 May election and could lose its representation on the Cámara if an agreement is not reached. Agrarian organisations in Andalusia, including Asaja, COAG and UPA, have voiced opposition to any Vox appointment in the Ministry of Agriculture, citing concerns over the continuity of agricultural policy and EU multi‑annual financial framework negotiations. The talks are expected to conclude within the next two days, determining whether a coalition will be formed or the region will face a fragmented legislature.
