Juazeiro do Norte elects King and Queen of Jejuno’s Student Games

Marcus Vinicius Fernandes and Yarla Ferreira have been elected King and Queen of the 20th edition of the Jejuno’s Student Games in Juazeiro do Norte. The selection took place during a parade at the Ginásio Poliesportivo, where 56 students competed for the titles.

Approximately 700 students and their families attended the event to support the representatives. Education Secretary Márcia França noted that the selection process emphasizes values such as belonging, integration, and collectivity rather than just aesthetics. Sport and Youth Secretary Phelipe Agnis stated that the winners will represent and participate in the games throughout the 30-day tournament period.

The 20th edition of the Jejuno’s, which officially opened on September 30, involves approximately 6,500 athletes from municipal, state, and private schools competing in various individual and collective sports.
