Juazeiro do Norte hosts suicide prevention seminar

Juazeiro do Norte is hosting the V Seminário Vidas Preservadas Cariri, a three-day hybrid event held from August 11 to 13 focused on suicide prevention and postvention. The seminar takes place at the Estácio IDOMED Medical School auditorium and includes online activities.

The program brings together professionals and students from the fields of education, health, law, and communication. Key discussion topics include the responsibilities and ethics of journalistic coverage regarding suicide, prevention and postvention strategies within schools, and the strengthening of partnerships between the health and education sectors.

Organized by the Municipal Secretariats of Education and Health of Juazeiro do Norte, the Vidas Preservadas Program, and the IDOMED Thanatology Laboratory, the event features an initiative titled ‘Conectar para Viver: Sinergia entre Educação, Saúde e Mídia’ to promote integrated action across different sectors.
