Jubei Ninpucho anime to receive nationwide 4K revival screening

The classic period action anime film ‘Jubei Ninpucho’, directed by Yoshiaaki Kawajiri, will receive its first nationwide 4K revival screening starting September 4. The two-week limited engagement is part of a revival project hosted by the movie review service Filmarks.

To commemorate the screening, Filmarks is offering exclusive merchandise, including three types of collaboration T-shirts designed by FCW, available for pre-order from August 28 to September 24. Additionally, attendees will receive a reproduction of the original 1993 press sheet, which features interviews with the director and voice cast and can be unfolded into a large poster.

A recent popularity poll for the film concluded with the protagonist, Jubei Kagami, taking first place. Other top-ranked characters include Kagari in second, Genmu Juro in third, and Yurimaru in fourth.
