Jude Bellingham receives World Cup Bronze Boot and England Player of the Year award
Jude Bellingham has been awarded the FIFA World Cup Bronze Boot after scoring seven goals during England’s tournament campaign. His performance helped lead the Three Lions to a third-place finish, their best result since 1966, following a 6-4 victory over France in the bronze-medal match.
Bellingham’s seven goals set a new record for the most goals scored by an England player at a major international tournament. He finished third in the scoring charts, trailing Golden Boot winner Kylian Mbappé, who scored 10 goals, and Lionel Messi, who scored eight.
In addition to his World Cup accolades, Bellingham was voted England’s male player of the year for the 2025-26 season by fans via the official Three Lions app, winning the award for the second consecutive year. Bellingham expressed surprise at the Bronze Boot, noting on social media that he was unaware the award existed until it arrived.
