Judge Mark Wolf warns of violence and fraud in US midterm elections
Former US federal judge Mark Wolf has expressed deep concerns regarding potential violence and fraud in the upcoming November midterm elections. Wolf, who was appointed by President Ronald Reagan in 1985, resigned from his position after more than 50 years of service in the judiciary and the Department of Justice.
In an article published in ‘The Atlantic’, Wolf characterized the Trump administration as an ‘attack on the rule of law’, claiming that the government undermines the impartial administration of justice and distorts the democratic process. He stated that the President and his allies pose an ‘existential threat to democracy’.
Wolf alleged that the Department of Justice has been prevented from operating impartially, noting that allies of the administration avoid investigation while political opponents face prosecution. He further claimed the administration has used the Department of Justice for personal enrichment, including legal actions against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
