In Argentina, Eduardo Spuler is stepping down from the Supreme Court of Santa Fe after 26 years of service. A specialist in labor law, Spuler joined the high court in 2000. He will be succeeded by Diego Maciel, who is scheduled to be sworn in on September 4 following a formal appointment process that included legislative agreement.

In Spain, the Governing Chamber of the Supreme Court is seeking a meeting with Minister of Justice Félix Bolaños. The court aims to discuss organizational improvements and a proposal for salary increases for its officials to align them with those in Madrid courts. This follows the retirement of Pablo Lucas, the former president of the Third Chamber, who had previously submitted a report advocating for these retributive improvements.
