Judicial Council validates Kumanovo court employee grievances
The Judicial Council of North Macedonia has confirmed that grievances filed by employees against the president of the Kumanovo Basic Court are well-founded. The complaints, submitted by court staff, allege various forms of misconduct by President Snezhana Manev.
According to Council member Suzana Joshevska-Anastasovska, the allegations include interference in the judicial administrator's duties, demanding annual leave plans and interrogating staff regarding their use of leave, as well as exercising excessive supervision and psychological pressure. Employees also reported the implementation of double attendance records, which reportedly created fear and disrupted the workplace atmosphere.
The Union of Administration, Judicial Bodies, and Citizens' Associations (UPOZ) had previously accused Manev of mistreatment and pressured the Judicial Council to dismiss her. The union has threatened to strike and block the operations of the Kumanovo Basic Court if appropriate action is not taken.
