Judicial updates in Chile and Argentina involve new appointments and institutional agreements

In Chile, attorney Felipe Olmos Carrasco has been sworn in as a Titular Judge of the Public Procurement Court. The ceremony was presided over by Supreme Court President Gloria Ana Chevesich Ruiz. Olmos Carrasco, a graduate of the University of Chile and a doctoral candidate at the University of Salamanca, previously served as the Secretary Lawyer for the Court since its establishment in 2005.

In Argentina, the Superior Tribunal de Justicia (STJ) and the Municipality of Corrientes have signed a framework collaboration agreement. Signed by STJ President Guillermo Horacio Semhan and Mayor Osvaldo Claudio Polich, the deal allows the Judiciary's Mandates and Notifications Directorate to assist with up to 700 monthly notifications for municipal administrative courts. The municipality will cover operational costs, including fuel and travel, via a monthly fee. The agreement is valid for two years with an option for automatic renewal.
