Montenegro and Bosnia labor unions negotiate wage increases

In Montenegro, representatives of the government, unions, and employers have reached an agreement to increase the calculation value of the coefficient from 90 to 100 euros. This change, part of the General Collective Agreement, is set to take effect on January 1, 2027. While unions have secured this increase, the Employers' Union has expressed hesitation regarding further negotiations until the government's “Euro model” for wage increases is clarified.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton is engaged in a labor dispute with the Unified Union of Judiciary Employees and Workers. The union has criticized the government for failing to address long-standing issues regarding the status and valuation of judicial staff. In response, the Canton has proposed specific salary increases for certain categories, including a 20% raise for assistants to judges and prosecutors and a 20% raise for judicial bailiffs, while rejecting demands for disproportionate pay gaps between different administrative roles.
