Judiciary updates selection process and EU introduces new driving rules

The Judiciary of San Juan is implementing a new selection process for personnel that includes a mandatory virtual training course. This asynchronous eight-day program, hosted on a 24-hour platform, covers nine modules including Constitutional, Civil, and Family Law. The course serves as a pilot for the theoretical examination, requiring applicants to pass questionnaires to advance through the stages of the five-step eliminatory process.

In Europe, a new directive (EU 2025/2205) aims to change driving license regulations. Under the new rules, individuals who pass their driving test using an automatic vehicle will be permitted to drive manual cars after completing a seven-hour supplementary course. While this measure has sparked debate regarding driver competency, it is not currently in effect in Spain and is not expected to be applicable until at least 2029.
