Judit Lannert criticizes inherited office amenities
Judit Lannert, Hungary's Minister of Education and Children, has released a video showcasing the office she inherited, which was previously used by high-ranking officials including Katalin Novák, Zsófia Koncz, and Ágnes Hornung.
Lannert criticized the office's layout and amenities, comparing the workspace to a hotel reception area rather than a functional professional environment. She noted a lack of adequate drawers or cabinets for work materials, observing that the small available drawers were only suitable for minor items like sewing kits.
Furthermore, Lannert pointed out that the office includes an extensively equipped bathroom containing a shower, a wardrobe, an ironing board, a makeup mirror, and a hairdryer. She remarked that the space contains more storage in the bathroom than in the main work area. Lannert suggested that the design of such offices conveys a message that, within the Fidesz party, women were intended for representational purposes rather than serious professional work.
