Judith Holofernes reacts to viral revival of ‘Von hier an blind’

Judith Holofernes, former frontwoman of the band Wir sind Helden, has expressed her gratitude following a viral resurgence of the 2005 hit song ‘Von hier an blind’ on TikTok. The track recently re-entered the official German Single Charts, appearing as a ‘Highest Climber’ at number 59 and reaching number two on the TikTok Hot 50 charts.

Holofernes shared a video on social media thanking fans for the cover versions, dances, and tributes. She reflected on the song's origins, noting she wrote the lyrics when she was young and felt as though she had already achieved her greatest dreams, leaving her uncertain about the future. She stated that she wanted to capture the feeling of not being able to see what comes next yet choosing to ‘jump in’ regardless.

In the same context, Holofernes previously mentioned facing challenges with her singing due to a suspected neurological voice disorder that began around 2017, potentially linked to meningitis.
