Judith Rakers hands Hamburg farm to colleague Lisa Kestel

Former Tagesschau presenter Judith Rakers announced on Instagram that she is giving up her small farm near Hamburg. After relocating to the island of Rügen, she said the decision was “a difficult day” and that the property needed people to live on‑site and care for the garden, animals and buildings.

Rakers handed the keys to fellow TV presenter Lisa Kestel, who will move in with her family and a range of animals. The new owners plan to revive the horse pasture, chicken coop and other farm activities, and Rakers expressed that the farm is in “good hands” despite her sadness at the farewell.
